I have a couple of these. It's my favorite vertical laptop stand, because: 1) it has a nicely wide footprint for the base, more stable than most other laptop stands, 2) doesn't elevate the laptop any higher than necessary, keeping the center of gravity low for more stability, and 3) doesn't block airflow.But most importantly: 4) lets you carefully adjust the width to exactly match your laptop. Most other stands, even ones that have formed silicone inserts to match a single specific laptop (like an M1 MacBook Pro, for example) apply a clamping or wedging force to hold your laptop in place, which, for some laptops, could potentially affect the hinge or bend the screen into the keyboard.I like to add a couple of felt furniture foot pads to the inward facing sides. It makes it really easy to take the laptop in and out of the stand, and since I adjusted it to fit exactly, it doesn't lift up the stand with it even slightly.
