I don't normally write reviews unless I'm severely disappointed, or extremely impressed. This is an extremely impressed review. I bought this refurbished Surface Go (128GB), thinking it would be a nice little emailer/surfer/travel PC that was USED but serviceable. When I first opened the box, I though Amazon made a mistake and sent me a new unit. This impression continues as I write this. Full original retail packaging. Even the charger came perfectly wrapped in the little plastic thingies. I can't find one scratch, dent, smudge or blemish. There is ZERO indication that this is not a new unit. ...except for the "Refurbished" text printed on the low left of the retail box. Maybe this a a roll of the dice, or maybe not.As for the unit itself, I can't believe what I got for paying so little. Fast, well thought out, VERY impressive screen (even given the LOW dpi) and a premium feel. I get about 7 hours battery before it goes into saver mode. It's very fast for the every day stuff and the finger print login works very well. NO bloatware pre-installed.So, the negatives? There are only two imo. Firstly, no backlit keyboard. The second is huge. When you get this, you will be so happy that you will immediately start searching the web for an SSD upgrade. The Surface Go's use an M.2 2230 PCIe NVMe solid state drive. Anything above 128GB (256GB ,512GB) are very expensive, because they are so small and rare, presumably. Additionally, the unit is very difficult to get into to actually do the swap. For now, I'm dealing. But this could be my daily driver if I ever decide to do the upgrade. That said, get the 256GB if you can swing it. Lastly, the default charger cable/power supply is awful. Stiff and unwieldly. There is no good way to wrap it up for your bag. So...Ditch the included charger. Get yourself a USBC charger (anything above 39 watts) and a nice USBC power cable. I stick with Anker products and mine are working perfectly, matches the color and lightens my bag.
